Trees and Fruit Trees
We normally have a good array of trees in stock, including Olives, Betula (Birch – single and multi-stemmed), and Acers (Japanese Maples), with their delicate foliage and fantastic autumn leaf colour.
Seasonal trees include fruit trees, which come from Blackmoor Nurseries, (a small home counties based grower) and includes apples, pears, plums, cherries, quince and more.
Ornamental cherries are stocked in the spring, as well as weeping Salix (pussy willow), and Corylus avellana contorta (twisted hazel) with their fabulous bare contorted stems in the winter and long catkins in the early spring.
We have a regular supply of standards in stock, including Photinia Red Robin, Laurus nobilis (Bay), and Ligustrum; as well as Camellias, and Ilex (Holly) so whether you want to add punctuation points to the back garden or formality to the front, you’ll find something to suit your needs here.
Shrubs and Topiary
We always have a wide range of “useful” shrubs in stock, including Buxus (box), Vibernum Tinus, Euonymus and Hebe, as well as seasonal Azaleas and Camellias, but we also have the more unusual, such as Pittosporum tobira Nana, Nandina domestica and Euonymus alatus.
There is often stock larger sizes too, so that you can quickly fill in a space in your garden with a mature specimen.
Of course we also have Buxus and Ligustrum in topiary form – balls, pyramids and spirals, and will often have a magnificent Cloud Tree (shaped Ilex crenata) on site
Herbaceous Perennials
We source from small UK growers wherever possible, and have gained a reputation for having a wide range of interesting herbaceous stock, which can surprise and delight even professional gardeners.
As the plants are UK grown you can be sure that they will be happy when planted into your garden – they haven’t been grown in vast poly tunnels in Holland or elsewhere overseas, nor have they been mollycoddled unnecessarily
Herbs
We always have an excellent selection of herbs available during the spring and early summer. Our herbs are grown here in the UK by The Hairy Pot Company, and come in 14cm pots.
These bushy robust herbs are grown in biodegradable coir pots, enabling you to plant the whole thing into the ground or a larger pot, avoiding root disturbance.
Larger pots (right up to a whopping 40cms) contain magnificent specimen Lavender (English and French) and Rosemary in late spring and summer. They are a sight to behold as they come into flower!
Soft Fruit and Vegetables
Once the weather allows in the spring, we stock a range of young vegetable plants ready to be planted straight out into beds or pots.
In early spring we stock a range of soft fruit, including Gooseberry, Raspberry, Blackcurrant, Blueberry and Rhubarb as well as several varieties of Strawberry
Turf
You can order top quality seed grown turf for delivery direct to you from our supplier. Minimum order of 10 rolls.
